The Game Boy Advance was the first platform I got for the sake of collection. I got it as a birthday gift, in-box with the manual and other fliers. It's from Europe, specifically Spain, I believe. I specifically wanted the pink version because that's my favorite color, of course, although unfortunately the plastic is yellowed from age, as you can see. I know it's possible to dye this type of plastic, but I'm not ready to take on that challenge. I don't trust myself to take the console apart yet.
I only have three games right now, but I really want more. I enjoy all of them, but Donkey Kong Country is definitely my favorite! I foolishly let the guy at the retro games store talk me out of buying Pokemon LeafGreen because it was slightly more expensive than what I could get it for...I regret listening to him so bad. He was the investor type. Guys in the retro gaming community tend to mansplain a lot, which can be frustrating as a femme-presenting folk.
Rant aside, I'm super grateful to have a GBA of my own. I hope to collect more "old" consoles as time goes on, but I definitely need to get on it soon because I know prices will only keep going up...

And that's it...Hopefully more someday.
